The third annual Myrtle Beach Fall Classic has attracted a sold out field of 324 golfers from a record 35 states and Canada.
A 72-hole two-man team event, the Fall Classic will be played November 14-17 on 12 of Myrtle Beach’s best golf courses and feature a different format of play each day.
“We continue to be delighted with the popularity and growth of the Fall Classic,” said Jeff Monday, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday’s tournament director. “The number of participants and the distances they are traveling to play in the tournament are a testament to everything the Fall Classic offers.”
At the heart of the event’s appeal is the quality of the golf. Six of the 12 courses hosting the event have been ranked among America’s top 100 public courses and all of them are among the upper echelon of Myrtle Beach golf courses.
Players in this year’s tournament, who are traveling from as far away as Hawaii, will be playing:
The opening round of the net stroke play event will be best ball, followed by a Texas Scramble, combined net team score and a scramble format.
In addition to golf, players will receive a welcome gift, free hor ’d oeuvres and open bar during a registration party, and a Thursday evening awards dinner at Marina Inn, featuring a plated dinner, open bar and an awards presentation.
The Fall Classic is the seventh and final event of the year for the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday tournament division. The events have attracted 5,000 players from across the globe.
