The second annual Myrtle Beach Fall Classic, complete with a star-studded golf course lineup and growing field, is poised to tee off.
A 72-hole two-man team event, the Fall Classic will be played on 16 of Myrtle Beach’s best golf courses and feature a different format of play each day.
More than 300 players from 30 states, Canada, Italy and Bermuda have registered to compete in tournament. The size of the field has grown by more than 50 percent this year, a credit to the quality of the host golf courses, the value the event provides, and the tournament experience.
“The growth of the event is exciting, but we aren’t shocked,” said Jeff Monday, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday’s Tournament Director. “Golfers are looking for competitive outlets, and the Myrtle Beach Fall Classic provides players the opportunity to play 72 holes on incredible golf courses.”
Eight of the 16 host courses have been ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses and every course has earned at least four stars from Golf Digest.

The opening round of the net stroke play event will be best ball, followed by a Texas Scramble, combined net team score and a scramble format. In addition to golf, players will receive a welcome gift, free hor ’d oeuvres and open bar during a registration party, and a Thursday evening awards dinner at Marina Inn, featuring a plated dinner, open bar and an awards presentation.
