The second annual Myrtle Beach Fall Classic, which will feature a star-studded golf course lineup and unrivaled value, is still accepting entries. The 72-hole, two-man team event will be played November 16-19 and feature a different format of play each day.
The opening round of the net stroke play event will be best ball, followed by a Texas Scramble, combined net team score and a scramble format. In addition to golf, players will receive a welcome gift, free hor ’d oeuvres and open bar during a registration party, and a Thursday evening awards dinner at Marina Inn, featuring a plated dinner, open bar and an awards presentation.
But the star of the Fall Classic will again be the event’s price point - $425 – and the quality of courses hosting the tournament. Of the 16 host layouts, eight have been ranked among the nation’s top 100 public courses in recent years, and all have received at least 4 stars in Golf Digest’s prestigious Best Places to Play guide.
The Fall Classic host Myrtle Beach golf courses:
Just being able to play any four of those courses for $425 is a great deal. That’s to say nothing of the gift, welcome reception and awards banquet at the Marina Inn, a 4-diamond property that is, unquestionably, one of the area’s best. The event is open to men and women and players of all ages, so long as they have a verifiable handicap. Players will be flighted based upon their handicap index.
