If you aren’t in the path of Monday’s complete solar eclipse, we will take you there.
The eclipse – the first with its totality spanning the United States since 1918 - has riveted the public and the totality will pass over five Myrtle Beach golf courses - Pawleys Plantation, Founders Club, True Blue, Heritage Club and Caledonia.
Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday will be broadcasting via Facebook Live as the eclipse passes over Pawleys Island at approximately 2:47 p.m. We will be setting up on the famed 13th hole at Pawleys Plantation, a short par 3 that plays along the marsh and will offer an unobstructed view of the sky, presenting a perfect vantage point to enjoy the event.
As part of the eclipse celebration, Pawleys Plantation and Founders Club will be hosting mini-tournaments on the afternoon of August 21. The shotgun starts will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a natural pause as the totality (and darkness) pass over the area.
The eclipse will be a spectacular natural occurrence, and the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Facebook team will allow you to enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime event, in addition to the time lapse video and pictures we will be capturing.
Enhancing those efforts will be the natural beauty of Pawleys Plantation, which has five back nine holes that play along the marsh.
Make sure you “Like” the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Facebook page and tune in as we go live from the 13th green at Pawleys Plantation beginning at 2:35 p.m.
