Trio of Canadian Brothers Adds Competition to Annual Golf Trip

The three Demolitor brothers – Ken, Lockhart and Jeff – take an annual golf trip and it was time for something a little different in 2018, and Jeff had just the idea.

The Canadian trio, all veterans, enjoy competitive golf, playing an assortment of smaller tournaments throughout the year. That passion for competition led Jeff to perform a Google search on golf tournaments that quickly led him to the PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.com World Amateur Handicap Championship.

He read a few reviews online, shared what he had discovered with his brothers, and the rest is history.

“We were all a little nervous,” Jeff said. “But I read a couple different blogs and went on the site and saw what came with the tournament, which we thought was a good deal.”

Ken lives Kingston, Ontario, Lockhart is in Calgary, Alberta, and Jeff calls New Maryland, New Brunswick home, and they’ve been taking an annual golf trip for more than 10 years, once making the trek to Myrtle Beach for a more conventional buddies trip.

So the distance they needed to travel to play in the World Am was a non-issue.

Jeff flew into Raleigh, and Lockhart and Ken, who drove, met him there, so the trio, who put in a play together request, have a car.

With a golf course rotation of Wachesaw Plantation East, Caledonia, the Parkland Course at Caledonia, and Aberdeen Country Club a memorable week awaits.

They are looking forward to meeting people from across the globe and having a good time, both goals that should be fulfilled.
